The Children and Youth Program offers unique activities for children with special needs, ages 3-21, and their families. The main focus of the program is to improve the social and recreational skills of the participants, through play, while promoting independence, self- esteem and growth. We strive to promote positive peer interaction, physical development, creative expression, problem solving, and teamwork.
The program is designed to bring together children and their families of all ages and abilities and provide an environment that fosters fun, learning, growth, and safety.
Our outdoor learning area offers an inclusive space that gives our participants an opportunity to learn through outdoor play.
We strive to open up new opportunities to participants as well as promote meaningful relationships for both children with special needs and their siblings. The program, which is integrated with siblings and children of MCC staff, allows brothers and sisters to have fun in activities and programs with their special needs siblings. It also fosters relationships between siblings of different families, and gives them the ability to support each other in challenging times.
